A physio is short for physiotherapist.
-
Home physiotherapy is chosen when the patient's health status or socio-professional circumstances prevent them from visiting a physiotherapist' office in their area. Recognizing this need, Eviva Health practice exclusively offers treatment at home or via telehealth, ensuring accessibility to quality care regardless of the patient's limitations or constraints.
-
We maintain consistency in our approach to your care, as our physiotherapists conduct a thorough assessment of your needs during the initial appointment. Additionally, they may recommend specific equipment purchases to enhance your rehabilitation. Our flexibility allows us to adapt our services to your unique requirements, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes tailored to your individual needs.
-
During a home physiotherapy session, the physiotherapist conducts a thorough assessment of the patient's condition, develops a personalized treatment plan, and administers hands-on techniques and therapeutic exercises tailored to the patient's needs and goals.
They educate the patient and their family on the condition, treatment plan, and home exercises, and provide guidance on symptom management and prevention strategies.
Follow-up sessions may be scheduled to monitor progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed, ensuring convenient and personalized care in the comfort of the patient's home.

In-office physiotherapy refers to physiotherapy sessions conducted in a clinical setting, such as a physiotherapy clinic or hospital. Patients visit the facility to receive treatment from a physiotherapist.
On the other hand, home physiotherapy involves physiotherapy sessions conducted in the patient's home. A physiotherapist travels to the patient's residence to provide treatment and rehabilitation services.
Both types of physiotherapy aim to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall well-being. The choice between in-office and home physiotherapy depends on factors such as the patient's condition, mobility, accessibility, and preferences.
-
Convenience: Patients with mobility issues or those who are unable to travel due to their health condition find it convenient to receive treatment at home.
Comfort: Being in familiar surroundings can help patients feel more comfortable and relaxed during their therapy sessions, potentially enhancing the effectiveness of treatment.
Personalized Care: Home physiotherapy allows for personalized treatment plans tailored to the patient's specific needs and home environment.
Reduced Stress: Avoiding the hassle of traveling to a clinic can reduce stress and anxiety for patients, promoting a more positive therapeutic experience.
Family Involvement: Family members can actively participate in the therapy process and learn how to assist the patient with exercises and activities at home.
-
Before the session, you will define a scheduled appointment time with your physiotherapist, who will send you a connection link.
Then, during the appointment, the session will take place as normal, as if you were in the same room as the physiotherapist. You won't notice any difference. Our treatments are designed to adapt to all kinds of situations.

For home physiotherapy with a doctor's prescription, anyone with a doctor's prescription is entitled to home physiotherapy, regardless of whether the prescription mentions "at home".
However, there is a difference: if the prescription specifies "at home", the physiotherapy sessions are eligible for reimbursement by Assurance Maladie and your mutual insurance company, either partially or fully. If the prescription does not specify "at home", the patient can still receive treatment at home, but in this case, they will be responsible for the physiotherapist's travel expenses. Before the start of each treatment, our physiotherapists will provide you with a detailed estimate. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
For home physiotherapy without a doctor's prescription, if you don't have a doctor's prescription but still wish to be treated by our Eviva physiotherapists, you can have as many sessions as needed. However, the patient will not be reimbursed by Assurance Maladie or the mutual insurance company, and they will be required to cover the full cost of the sessions. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.
-
You don't require a doctor's prescription to access the services of our home physiotherapists. However, if you don't have a doctor's prescription, you'll need to pay the full cost in advance.
-
No need to worry if you've misplaced your carte vitale. At the end of your treatment, we'll provide you with a medical claim form along with a copy of your medical prescription. However, you'll still need to pay for the entire treatment upfront.
